Allissa's book wins four major prizes
My book, “Bearing Witness While Black,” has won top awards from all of the professional organizations of which I am a member! It’s won the 2021 International Communication Association’s Hazel Gaudet-Erskine Best Book Award. It also took home the plaque for the 2020 AEJMC Kappa Tau Alpha/Frank Luther Mott Book of the Year Award. It’s AEJMC’s 2020 Tankard Book of the Year Award recipient. Last—but certainly not least—the National Association of Black Journalists named it “Outstanding Book of the Year.” Thank you to all of the scholars who nominated and voted for this labor of love!
