Newsroom U facilitates and captures immersive learning experiences for journalism students. The White House Student Press Briefing and Multimedia Weekend marks the initiative’s inaugural launch. Newsroom U is organized by The George Washington School of Media and Public Affairs, in partnership with the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication, and the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at San Jose State University.
Approximately 25 top student journalists (23 from college and 2 from high school) were selected from many of the nation’s leading student media programs to come to the nation’s capital to participate.
